I have taught a variety of undergraduate courses in the NUSASH. Below are the courses I have been involved in teaching:
- Communication Skills (HU1003): An introductory course focusing on effective communication skills that have always been considered as pre-requisite for a successful career in any field. The success of an individual is largely determined by his ability to communicate in a persuasive manner with his colleagues, clients or the public. Precise and correct use of language in modern scientific and technological context is mandatory for those who work in industry. Powerful communication skills sufficiently assist university graduates to deliver their ideas and thoughts as individuals or as group members in a lucid and convincing way and help them arrive at good and logical decisions and solutions. The course is expected to help NUTECH graduates learn the necessary technical English and business communication skills that they direly need to pursue their career as successful professionals in any competitive working environment.
- English II(Technical Report Writing) Lab (HU1010): A core course that focuses on to apply learned communication skills in professional environment , and effectively present their findings on the allocated projects.
- Technical Communication for Engineers (HU1005): In this course, students learn tools and techniques that will help them to communicate technical information more clearly, more concisely, and with better outcomes. Additional topics include how to communicate to all levels of the organization; the purpose of special technical terms, when to use them and when not to; how to use visuals to underscore their written content; and how to write detailed, yet highly readable documentation that can be used by downstream users.
- Functional English (GE110): A course focused on the objectives like to develop their oral as well as written English skills, to build and develop the integrated language skills of students, to frame structurally correct and meaningful sentences and responses for different settings, to promote mutual understanding and cooperation through group-based classroom activities.
- English (HU001-AS24): An intermediate level course for Afghan students focusing on four language skills i.e reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
My research focuses on the ELT and literature. I am currently working on PhD research project several projects that apply CDA on Pakistani literature.
