I am Shehryar Akbar, a lecturer in the Department of Computer Engineering at NUTECH University. My primary research interests lie in Embedded Systems and Digital Hardware Design. I am passionate about the intersection of HW/SW in digital systems, microprocessor architectures and embedded machine learning. My teaching philosophy centers around providing students with a strong theoretical foundation, while also equipping them with practical skills for the evolving tech landscape.

My research focuses on reconfigurable computing and automation of hardware design processes. I am currently working on several projects that apply embedded machine learning techniques to healthcare, as well as design of dedicated AI architectures for optimized, application-specific domains.
