Dr Malik Sarmad Riaz is an Assistant Professor in the Civil Engineering Department at the National University of Technology (NUTECH), Islamabad, Pakistan since October 2020. A graduate of the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Islamabad, Dr Malik Sarmad Riaz holds a Master's and Doctorate in Transportation Sciences from Hasselt University, Belgium. His research interests primarily focus on traffic safety and other transportation engineering and sciences aspects. He has published multiple research papers in peer-reviewed journals, and has contributed to numerous conference proceedings. With a strong commitment to teaching, he has extensive experience in both undergraduate and postgraduate courses related to transportation engineering. He has undergone rigorous Outcome-Based Education (OBE) training and currently oversees both the BS Civil Engineering and BET Civil Engineering Technology programs at NUTECH.
